Top of Head Eyebrow Side of Eye Under Eye Under Nose Chin Collarbone Under Arm Karate Chop

Top of Head

Located at the crown of the head, this point initiates the tapping sequence. It’s associated with overall energy flow and mental clarity. Tapping here often induces a sense of calmness and can help clear mental fog. This point is particularly useful for addressing feelings of being overwhelmed or stuck, promoting a sense of openness to new possibilities.

Eyebrow

Found at the inner edge of the eyebrow, near the bridge of the nose, this point relates to trauma and emotional hurt. It’s linked to the bladder meridian in traditional Chinese medicine. Tapping here may help relieve stress headaches and ease emotional pain. This point is often used when addressing feelings of sadness, hurt, or internal conflict.

Side of Eye

Located at the outer edge of the eye, on the bone, this point addresses anger and frustration. It’s connected to the gallbladder meridian and may improve decision-making skills and emotional regulation. Tapping here can be particularly helpful when dealing with resentment, rage, or feelings of being stuck in a situation.

Under Eye

Situated below the eye on the orbital bone, this point targets fear and anxiety. It’s linked to the stomach meridian and can help with nervousness and emotional distress. This point is often tapped when addressing phobias, worries, or feelings of nervousness. It can help promote a sense of calm and safety.

Under Nose

Located above the upper lip, in the philtrum area, this point deals with shame and feelings of unworthiness. It’s associated with the governing vessel in acupuncture theory. Tapping here can help process embarrassment and regulate emotions. This point is particularly useful when addressing issues of self-image, humiliation, or feelings of failure. It can promote self-acceptance and confidence.

Chin

Found in the crease below the lower lip, this point addresses uncertainty and confusion. It’s connected to the central vessel and can aid in self-acceptance and mental clarity. Tapping here is beneficial when dealing with indecision, self-doubt, or feelings of being overwhelmed by choices. It can help promote a sense of inner knowing and trust in oneself.

Collarbone

Located just below the collarbone, near the breastbone, this point relates to psychological reversal. It’s linked to the kidney meridian and can help overcome self-sabotage and resistance to change. This point is often used when addressing deep-seated beliefs or patterns that may be hindering progress. Tapping here can promote openness to new perspectives and behaviors.

Under Arm

Found about 4 inches below the armpit, on the side of the body, this point addresses fears and self-esteem issues. It’s connected to the spleen meridian and can help with feelings of being overwhelmed or anxious. Tapping here is particularly useful when dealing with insecurities, fears of rejection, or feelings of not being good enough. It can promote a sense of personal strength and capability.

Karate Chop

Located on the outer edge of the hand, this point is often used for setup phrases. It’s linked to the small intestine meridian and helps with accepting oneself and situations. This point is typically used at the beginning of the tapping sequence while stating the setup phrase, such as “Even though I have this problem, I deeply and completely accept myself.” It’s an important part of the EFT process as it helps to acknowledge the issue while promoting self-acceptance.

Heidi always gets to the crook of the problem and then works with me to weed it out. I like that Heidi keeps me on track and gives me gentle but firm steps to follow when I rant on. She can break an issue down so that it becomes manageable. That way I feel I am making progress.
